Venture Builders

Salaar Ventures is an entrepreneur-led private holding and venture-building platform. It builds, acquires, operates and scales businesses, and provides M&A and strategic advisory capability alongside them.

Who we are

An operating ecosystem, not a fund and not a consultancy.

Ventures are developed internally from opportunity identification through launch. Established businesses are evaluated for acquisition against a defined mandate. Both are then run with the same operating infrastructure, teams, systems, controls and reporting.

Operating philosophy

Build · Acquire · Operate · Exit

01

Build

Identify opportunities, validate concepts and develop businesses from the ground up.

02

Acquire

Evaluate and acquire established businesses with durable economics and growth potential.

03

Operate

Build teams, systems, controls and operating infrastructure around each business, then expand revenue, channels, locations and capability.

04

Exit

Hold strategically, transition ownership or exit when appropriate, and redeploy experience and capital.

Group context

Structure

Salaar Ventures LLC sits within a broader group of companies operating across advisory, services, retail, mobility, distribution and technology. Brands presented in the portfolio reflect operating, development and advisory involvement across that group.

Legal ownership hierarchy and public-facing venture presentation are separate things, and this site does not conflate them.

Brands shown form part of the broader Salaar group ecosystem. Their presentation here reflects operating, development and advisory involvement and is not a statement of legal ownership by Salaar Ventures LLC. Group structure is held separately.

Leadership

Entrepreneurs

Salaar Ventures crest
Founder

Raheel Sheikh

An entrepreneur and operator who forms, acquires and runs businesses. Work spans company formation and launch, retail and service operations, vending and distribution, automotive, and advisory engagements for owners, buyers and international investors.

Across the group this has meant setting up entities and licensing, opening and staffing locations, building vendor and supply relationships, structuring purchases and sales of businesses, and advising owners on growth, restructuring and market entry.

That operating seat sets the platform's standard: systems and controls before scale, cash discipline before expansion, and transactions evaluated on what the business will actually require to run.

How we work

Four Commitments

The same four apply whether you are building, presenting a business, operating or acquiring from the portfolio.

Confidentiality by default

Submissions are not listed, marketed, forwarded or discussed outside the review team without written authorisation. A codename is acceptable until you are ready.

A direct answer

Every submission receives a yes, a no, or the specific question standing in the way. Silence is not an outcome we use.

Operators, not intermediaries

The people evaluating a business are the people who would run it. You speak to them, not to a screening layer.

Nothing binds until it is written

Conversations, indicative structures and expressions of interest are non-binding on both sides. Obligations begin at signature.

Questions

Before You Ask

The questions owners, investors, operators and acquirers put to us most often.

Do you buy businesses, or broker them?
Salaar Ventures acts as a principal. It builds, acquires, operates and eventually sells businesses in its own portfolio. It does not broker transactions or represent third-party sellers, those services sit with separate companies in the wider group, under their own written terms, and are not part of Salaar Ventures' mandate.
What size of business do you acquire?
The mandate is approximately $200K to $500K+ of SDE or EBITDA, with 3+ years of operating history and 15%+ margins preferred. Businesses outside that range are still read, the criteria describe what fits most easily, not an absolute filter.
Do you buy outright or take a stake?
Full acquisition, majority interest or strategic partnership, depending on the opportunity and on what the owner wants. Structure is discussed before diligence begins, not after.
What happens to my staff?
We acquire businesses to run them, which generally means the team stays. Where a business depends on specific people, retention is part of the structure rather than an afterthought. What you want for your team is a question we ask early.
Can I stay involved after a sale?
Frequently, yes, as a transition adviser, a consultant, or a retained minority holder. It depends on the business and on what you want. Continued involvement is negotiated, not assumed in either direction.
How long does a transaction take?
It varies with the business, the records available and the structure. Reviews are quick; diligence and documentation take as long as the business requires. We give a realistic timeline once we have seen the financials rather than a standard one upfront.
Is my information really confidential?
Yes. Nothing presented is listed, marketed or disclosed without written authorisation, and a codename is acceptable until you choose otherwise. Detailed information is exchanged under NDA.
Do you charge owners a fee to present a business?
No. Salaar Ventures is the acquirer, not an intermediary, so no fee is charged to present a business or to complete a sale to the platform. Where a separate group company provides brokerage or advisory services, that is a distinct engagement with its own written terms and you would know before any work began.
Can I buy a business from you?
Yes. Portfolio businesses are sold when the moment is right, and they come to market with systems, staff and reporting already in place. Register under Exit and you are told directly when something matching your profile becomes available.
Will you build a business for me?
That is what Build is for. Investors and founders use the platform's formation, licensing, systems and operating capability to get a business running properly, and agree upfront who runs it once it is live.
Which companies does Salaar Ventures own?
The portfolio shows brands across the broader group where there is operating, development or advisory involvement. It is not a statement of legal ownership; group structure is held separately and shared where relevant to a transaction.
